Since I was told to be very careful with filming in public in Iran, especially women and mosques, I didn’t gether much footage in Tehran, my first stop in Iran. Here are just two scenes from Tehran streetlife. Shortly after filming this, I was promtly picked up by the police, taken to the station, asked the same question over and over again: “What is your name?” and then they all laughed on the answer, since my lastname means ‘bridge’ in Farsi, nobody was able to speak English and after 30 minutes at the station I got a bit nervous, but in the end they let me go without even wanting to see what I recorded.
